This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Service Representative based in India.
This role is a customer-facing technical position focused on supporting advanced industrial coating solutions within the mobility and commercial vehicle sector. You will act as the key technical interface between customers and internal teams, ensuring effective application, optimization, and troubleshooting of coating products on OEM production lines. The position involves close collaboration with R&D, sales, marketing, and operations teams to introduce new products and improve existing processes. You will support the deployment of coating technologies across manufacturing environments while ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with technical standards. This is a hands-on role combining technical expertise, field support, and customer engagement in a global industrial setting. It offers exposure to large OEM environments and end-to-end product lifecycle implementation.
- Provide technical support to OEM customers in the mobility and commercial vehicle sector, ensuring optimal application of coating products and processes.
- Manage and coordinate technical trials, product introductions, and approvals on customer production lines.
- Develop and implement standardized operating procedures for coating application and process optimization.
- Conduct troubleshooting activities related to product performance, application issues, and color matching challenges.
- Deliver technical training, audits, and on-site support for OEMs and their vendors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, marketing, sales, and operations to support product strategy execution.
- Monitor, analyze, and report key operational data such as paint consumption and product performance metrics.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Paint Technology, Chemistry, or related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in the industrial coatings or related manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of paint formulation and application processes is highly preferred.
- Experience in technical service, R&D, or customer-facing industrial roles is an advantage.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate cross-functional teams effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively as required by customer and project needs.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce is a plus.
