Position Summary: Responsible for accountability for a full region and major accounts, including responsibility to lead and negotiate contracts. Responsible for growing the business by increasing revenue from existing and new clients, serving our clients, and maintaining our reputation as a trusted advisor and partner. Provides exceptional client experience through attentive account management, consultation, and solution generation. This position will be our client’s primary point of contact for the assigned accounts with oversight from the CCO.
Responsibilities:
• The primary responsibility of the Client Vice President is the development of prospects into clients and nurturing existing client relationships for profitable incremental revenue growth.
• Accountable for a full region with contract signing authority.
• Responsible for leveraging necessary resources and expertise inside Finley toward a client solution and Statement of Work.
• Build relationships with clients and prospects by engaging in strategic and consultative discussions which demonstrate our ability to address opportunities and business challenges.
• Ensure alignment and coordination of the client’s needs across Finley to deliver exceptional service through all aspects of the business.
• Collaborate and coordinate with the Finley Service Delivery team as an extension of your service to our clients.
• Advocate for the client inside of Finley, especially regarding coordination of project delivery.
• Responsible for the broader development of the Finley brand in the broadband industry and new markets.
• Prescribed authority for quick decision making and action to address the needs of clients and prospects.
• Maintain records of business development activities and client interactions in CRM software and/or other lead and opportunity tracking methods.
• Monitor specific broadband/energy industry trends and competitor activities identifying opportunities for business expansion.
• Leverage connections with industry leaders to assist in identifying potential clients and key decision-makers within target organizations.
• Partner with clients to define and achieve strategic objectives by translating high-level goals into actionable plans, providing proactive guidance and thought leadership, and balancing immediate execution with long-term vision.
• Maintain continuous engagement with strategic or high-value clients through frequent touchpoints (often weekly or more), serving as a central driver of relationship management and service quality.
• Perform other related duties, as assigned.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or combination of post-secondary education and directly related work experience in telecommunications/broadband or a related field.
Experience:
Required:
• 8+ years’ experience and proven success in a sales account management and/or business development role within the telecommunication industry, preferably a broadband engineering professional services company.
• Sales & Revenue Growth: Track record of identifying new opportunities, securing contracts, and achieving/exceeding revenue targets.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to understand client needs and translate them into tailored solutions and actionable Statements of Work.
• Consultation: Strong consultative skills and approach to client acquisition and account management.
• Industry Factors: Awareness of current industry realities and anticipated future industry trends.
• Critical Thinking: Possesses and applies strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify and solve business problems.
• Client Relationship Management: Proven ability to build trust with clients, manage complex relationships, and act as a strategic advisor, preferably within the telecommunications/ broadband industry and with city, county, state, and/or federal government team members/departments. Regarded as a Trusted Advisor to internal and external customers.
• Collaboration & Influence: Skilled in coordinating cross-functional teams and aligning internal stakeholders to meet client needs. Effectively integrates, motivates, builds relationships with cross-functional team members (locally and remotely).
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confident presenter and negotiator with people at all levels in an organization, including at the C-level.
• Project Coordination: Understanding how projects are scoped, managed, and delivered in a consulting or engineering services environment.
• CRM & Reporting Tools: Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., Vantagepoint, Salesforce, HubSpot) and basic analytics/reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred:
• Sales and Account Management experience in both Broadband and Energy.
• Experience in an Engineering Professional Services organization.
• Consulting experience.
Licenses, Certifications, Training Requirements:
• A valid motor vehicle driver’s license in good standing is required. No DWI/DUI convictions.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors:
• Work is primarily computer work, and most assignments are performed in an office type environment.
• Flow of work involves normal mental and visual attention along with manual coordination much of the time.
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Location: Remote; Ideal candidate must be located in south Texas or east Kentucky/Tennessee.
Travel: Travel approximately 50% of the time.
In the spirit of pay transparency, the starting base pay range listed for this position is exclusive of benefits. If you are hired at Finley Engineering, your base pay will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and experience related to the position. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and will also consider internal equity of our current associates as a part of the final offer. Hiring at the high end of the range would not be typical.
