Hiring Range:

$127,587.20 - $160,763.20

UMass Memorial Medical Group seeks experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team. Our competitive compensation and benefits package places us as your top choice in the region

Key Highlights:

  • Provide comprehensive orthopedic and sports medicine care for adolescent and adult patients
  • Conduct new patient consultations and follow-up visits
  • Manage post-operative patient care
  • Perform cortisone injections and basic office-based procedures
  • Evaluate and manage fractures, joint conditions, sports injuries, and general orthopedic concerns
  • Review diagnostic imaging, including basic X-ray interpretation
  • Develop treatment plans and coordinate patient care
  • Order and interpret laboratory and imaging studies
  • Manage prescription refills and medication requests
  • Respond to patient portal messages, telephone encounters, and in-basket communications
  • Collaborate with a team of six orthopedic physicians while maintaining an independent patient panel

Qualifications:

  • A Masters degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
  • Eligible or current Massachusetts license, with national certification (ANCC, AANP, NCCPA, as applicable)
  • Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration and federal DEA Controlled Substance Registration are required.
  • A minimum of 12 years of APP experience in a clinical practice setting is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage an independent patient panel
  • Strong communication, clinical assessment, and patient education skills with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
