Talent Acquisition Manager
Job Summary
The Talent Acquisition Manager is a critical part of Shannon’s mission. This position leads a small team and is responsible for the development of the full life cycles of recruiting for all of Shannon. This position also assists in developing and implementing strategic initiatives for recruiting diverse talent for multiple departments. This position is responsible to assist with reviewing, updating and developing new processes and recruitment procedures to be adopted across all of Shannon’s Departments.
Performance: Position Specific Essential Functions
- Manage the recruiting and account management processes including candidate sourcing, identification, interview, selection, negotiation, and closing. Screen resume and update candidate/job status using applicant tracking systems. Utilize recruiting sources including but not limited to personal network, job boards, user groups, associations, phone lists and other tools and resources. May perform a high number of warm and cold calls to develop leads and business opportunities with candidate prospects. Effectively manage multiple job requisitions. Maintain relationships with regional education institutes.
- Seeks out new and creative ideas to proactively attract candidates; This may include: social media posts, resume mining, outreach efforts, college recruitment, career fairs, website postings, special recruiting events, and other advertisements; Engages in community outreach efforts to promote Shannon as an employer of choice; Participates in career fairs and special recruiting events in conjunction with other co-workers. Ability to asses candidates’ capabilities, needs and interests by understanding their long-tem goals and how they fit with the organizational goals. Awareness of organizational wide financial impact for recruitment of core and supplemental staff.
- Reviews all Position Requisitions to ensure it is accurate and complete. Reviews to ensure all appropriate approvals are included on the requisition prior to posting the position; Effectively utilizes applicant tracking system (ATS) to post positions on website and related external websites; Utilizes ATS to track and update candidates, review and screen candidates, document candidate disposition, and generate reports; Monitors candidate flow on a regular basis for each position to strategize appropriate and cost efficient sourcing methods; Screens, selects, and schedules candidates to interview. Conducts interviews and makes selection decisions when needed.
- Ensures compliance to all applicable laws, regulations, and policies; Documents HR policies and procedures when needed; Conducts department audits when needed.
- Schedules new hires for New Employee Processing and New Hire Orientation and conducts New Hire Processing as needed; Coordinates the completion of new hire Processing paperwork. Ensures thorough, accurate, and timely submission of new hire paperwork; May generate communications with candidates such as offer and rejection correspondence.
- Works with internal customers (Directors/Managers/Clinical Supervisors/Senior Staff) to learn of staffing needs in various areas. Actively participates in staffing update meetings when requested; Communicates with department Managers regarding hires made and provides new hire contact information.
- Strives to provide exemplary customer service to both internal and external customers, understanding the important role that human resources plays in the success of the organization. Continually seeks out ways to meet or exceed customer needs; Answers employee inquiries as they arise; Seeks out process improvements and overall efficiencies within the HR department; Assists with other HR related projects and processes as requested. High level of enthusiasm for challenges that come with developing new opportunities. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects and ability to adapt to fluid situations.

Qualifications
Education
- Required
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Preferred
- Associate’s degree in Healthcare or a related field
Experience:
- Preferred
- Two years of experience in Management
- Two years of experience in Staffing or Recruiting in Healthcare
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
Certification/Licensure:
- Required
- Valid Driver’s License
