Practice Manager - Oncology in North Kansas City , Missouri at Meritas Health

As a Practice Manager, you'll be overseeing the administrative and operational functions of the medical oncology office. This role ensures efficient office operations, enhances patient care services, and supports medical staff while working to improve patient outcomes and departmental performance. This is a highly collaborative position which will work closely with NKCH Oncology services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develops and establishes policies and procedures for the medical oncology clinic.
• Ensures practice meets strategic initiatives and improves fiscal management. Directly responsible for the oversight of daily clinic operations, including budget, expenses, supply management and equipment maintenance.
• Creates positive patient experience through effective communication and efficient service delivery.
• Demonstrates human resource management through effective talent life cycle management including recruiting, onboarding, mentoring, employee development, engagement, retention, performance management, and time keeping.
• Facilitates effective communication within the office and with other hospital/clinic departments including radiation oncology, infusion center, pharmacy and inpatient oncology.
• Oversees scheduling, ensuring adequate staffing and resource allocation.
• Ensures good provider and physician relationships by promoting teamwork.

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelors degree in business administration or healthcare management; five years experience in healthcare management within a medical practice is preferred; previous experience in medical oncology is strongly preferred. Proficient experience in reimbursement procedures, efficient practice operation, budgetary finance skills and excellent communications and interpersonal sills are crucial to the success of this position.
