Paid Summer Internship at New England Center for Children Inc – Southborough, Massachusetts

Looking to gain great hands-on experience in the field of autism education?

Learn to work with children and young adults diagnosed with autism, and alongside renowned clinicians and educators. The leaders of tomorrow are training at NECC today!

Summer interns provide direct care and ABA instruction to students in a classroom and/or residential setting. They collaborate with a team of professionals to instruct students in general curriculum areas including communication, social skills, activities of daily living (ADLs i.e. personal hygiene), vocational skills, adaptive physical education, and self-preservation.

We are accepting applications for 2025 Summer internships starting on January 6, 2025, and are reviewing applications on a rolling basis until our internship positions are filled.

Qualifications:

Active enrollment in college or university in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree through the summer of 2025. Prior experience working with special needs populations is preferred. Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation. Available for internship dates: May 12, 2025- August 16, 2025, OR June 9, 2025-August 16, 2025 (One week of unpaid vacation allotted). Available to work 40 hours per week on a schedule that may include day, evening, holiday, and weekend hours. Must be able to provide 2 professional/academic references with your application.
