Canyon Equities is a professional services team that supports the following companies; Custer, CS Erickson and FastSigns. We provide highly desired resources in the following functional areas, Information Technology, Finance and Human Resources.

Canyon Equities supports the Custer family of companies, and we are seeking a HR Business Partner to join our Human Resources team. The HR Business Partner is a key trusted liaison between leadership and our people.
This position will perform Human Resource related duties on a professional level, working closely with the Leadership team to support company goals. With supervision, this position is responsible for development and facilitation of HR processes for performance management, onboarding, coaching and mentoring, compensation, and employee relations. The role acts as a coach and partner to all individuals in the business, ensuring that we create and maintain a great place to work. This role will provide ongoing HR support to multiple companies and may be fully dedicated to one of the Custer companies for extended periods of time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop successful client relationships / business partnerships
- Resolve basic to complex problems by leveraging business / HR knowledge and client relationships
- Provides onboarding for the leadership team, ensuring knowledge of company policies, tools and resources
- Partners with functional and operational leaders to complete performance management and talent development processes
- Assess training needs and coordinate employee development programs that align with organizational goals
- Work closely with the diversity and inclusion team to create and develop initiatives and promote programs that foster an inclusive work environment and support a diverse workforce.
- Use data-driven insights and HR analytics to measure the effectiveness of driving continuous improvement.
- Assist managers in policy enforcement
- Partners with leaders to execute compensation processes such as merit awards and promotions
- Conducts reporting and analytics, as needed
- Create internal communication plans that align with the company’s goals, culture, and values. Ensure messaging is conveyed effectively through appropriate channels.
- Collaborate with leadership and other departments to ensure key messages are delivered coherently and consistently.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Positive, professional demeanor, excellent interpersonal skills and will be able to work as a team
- Strong understanding of HR principles, policies, and best practices.
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Must be a self-starter able to anticipate business needs and proactively offer solutions
- Experience balancing conflicting points of view, functioning effectively under pressure and demonstrating discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness
- Effective communication, written and grammar skills, emphasizing attention to detail
- Proficient with HRIS and MS Office programs; must have intermediate MS Excel skills
- Ability to learn new systems quickly and create improved efficiency
- Excellent follow through to assure quality task completion
- This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test
EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in business, SHRM, PHR or SPHR certification desired
- 4+ years of recent HR generalist experience, with strong leadership and hands-on capabilities in one or more of the following areas: Employee Relations, Client Service, and Performance Management
