About This Position

Job Summary
- The IT Operations Supervisor is responsible for day to day operations within the group and is directly responsible for Clinical Specialist and Business Analyst staff. As the leader of the Applications Group, the IT Operations Supervisor serves as a role model for customer communication, reviews and reports customer feedback to improve customer service, and ensures that all issues are resolved in a timely manner. Being responsible for daily operations and projects, the IT Applications Operations develops, implements and maintains the processes required to ensure system functionality and data integrity (change control, monitoring, reporting, auditing). The IT Operations Supervisor works with the IT Director to research, analyze, and recommend technologies to the organization for implementation, or exclusion if the technology does not meet organizational priorities or standards.
- Responsibilities of the Supervisor IT Operations include but are not limited to:
- · Working well within a team environment by promoting teamwork and common goals.
- · Establish standards for postions to include personal growth opportunities
- · Communicate job expectations; plan, monitor, and appraise job results; coach, counsel, and discipline employees.
- · Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; recognizing and rewarding staff when appropriate
- · Schedule departmental employees to ensure adequate coverage.
- · Manage employee time through electronic time and attendance system.
- · Facilitates tasks and duties by appropriately assigning, tracking and guiding assignments
- · Help to develop, maintain and enforce departmental policies and procedures.
- · Create and enforce clinical application standards throughout the organization
- · Ensure all MRH systems remain secure and compliant to government and healthcare regulations
- · Ensure all MRH systems are properly safeguarded against data loss and that appropriate disaster recovery preparedness is in place.
- · Planning, scheduling, managing, and documenting departmental and inter-departmental projects (implementations, modifications and downtimes)
- · Assist in preparation of yearly capital and operational IT department budgets.

Regulatory Requirements
- Graduate of a state accredited school with a degree.
- Previous management experience.
- Working knowledge of regulatory requirements as applied to healthcare organizations

Language Skills
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.

- Exemplary customer service skills
- Posess the ability to communicate well with both technical persons and non-technical end users verbally and through written forms
- Working knowledge of clinical workflow
- Working knowledge of application design and development
- Working knowledge of state and federal laws governing use of EMR software
- Working knowledge of interfacing and interoperablity
- Excellent computer knowledge
- Able to synthesize information and knowledge as a key component of critical thinking and decision making.
- Strong budgeting and financial management skills
- Strong personnel management skills.
