About This Position
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for facilitating the Bryan College of Health Sciences medical sciences focus program embedded in Lincoln Northwest High School. Focuses on development of pre-medical program learning experiences and coordination of education pathways contributing to the Lincoln Public Schools (LPS)/Bryan College of Health Sciences (BCHS) Medical Sciences Focus Program and other strategic programs aligned with the broader goal of increasing access to health care careers in the Lincoln community and beyond. Prioritizes engaging with middle and high school students to market the medical sciences focus program and Bryan College of Health Sciences.
Supports the Dean of Enrollment and Marketing and Registrar in accomplishing the goals of Bryan College of Health Sciences. Responsible for recruitment for the focus program and the Bryan Early College Access Program (BECAP), as well as oversight and student advising of those entering and currently in enrolled in those programs. Duties will include registration of students and academic advising functions. Collaboratively develop, coordinate, conduct and assess recruitment and advising strategies for the medical sciences focus program and BECAP. Plans and facilitates health career camps, group visit days and discovery days for the college.
PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

2. *Works effectively with focus program faculty and staff at LPS and Bryan College of Health Sciences.
3. *Recruits pre-pathway students to the focus program.
4. *Coordinates marketing materials to advertise the focus program and BECAP.
5. *Works with LPS to evaluate progress and action plan to determine where and if changes need to be made.
6. *Provides academic and career mentoring to focus program and BECAP students.
7. *Serves as the liaison between LPS and BCHS. Develops and maintains relationships and collaborates with community leaders, schools, businesses, organization and other internal and external partners to advance our shared goals.
8. *Coordinates experiential learning, immersive experiences, internships and programming for focus program students.
9. Remains current in local, state and national K-12 related issues such as Nebraska content standards and LPS curriculum objectives.
10. Participates in appropriate local and/or national college associations to remain current in local, state and national college related issues.
11. Maintains accurate records within the customer relationship management system (CRM) and reports outcomes of recruitment activities to Dean of Enrollment and Marketing and campus stakeholders.
12. *Recruits and communicates with students through email, phone, SMS and CRM systems.
13. Collaborates with faculty and staff in the development and improvement of coursework and premedical field educational resources to align with BCHS's goals.
14. Collaborates with the Dean of Enrollment and Marketing and staff in planning, developing and implementing recruitment and marketing activities such as health career camps, group visit days and discovery days.
15. Provides information and tours to interested students.
16. Remains current in recruitment-related issues.
17. Participates in the student registration process each term.
18. Implements academic policies related to registration and records; communicating with students, faculty and staff to ensure procedures are standardized and rules are consistently applied.
19. Provides information, consultation and recommendations to students, applicants and potential students regarding their plans of study.
20. Complies with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) in fulfillment of duties.
21. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
22. Participates in meetings, committees and department projects as assigned.
23. Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws that govern college student registration, records and privacy rights.
2. Knowledge of educational undergraduate recruiting and retention philosophies and practices.
3. Knowledge of college and university curriculums and career offerings.
4. Knowledge of computer hardware equipment and software applications relevant to work functions.
5. Knowledge of academic registration, records management and student advising practices and processes.
6. Knowledge of college organization, goals and objectives, policies and procedures.
7. Skill in excellent communication and organizational skills.
8. Ability to develop and maintain partnerships with internal and external individuals, groups and organizations.
9. Ability to prioritize work demands and work with minimal supervision.
10. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, education, marketing or related field required. Experience teaching in a high school preferred. Experience w/ databases necessary. CRM and/or Campus Management experience preferred.
Valid State of Nebraska driver’s license required. Verification and maintenance of responsible driving record per facility standards required.
