About This Position
The Department of Radiation Oncology Research is looking for a committed Research Project Manager to oversee and coordinate a wide range of translational research projects led by radiation oncology faculty. This position involves managing project timelines, resources, and budgets, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, and fostering collaboration among multidisciplinary teams. The Research Project Manager will have a pivotal role in advancing innovative research efforts that connect laboratory findings with clinical applications to enhance patient outcomes in radiation oncology.
Position Highlights:
- We encourage innovation and creativity to advance the Radiation Oncology Translational Research Division with a research project manager who can think outside the box and take the initiative to implement solutions and facilitate the operation for the faculty.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Must have strong data management and overall computer skills.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Grant and research protocol writing experience preferred.
- Budget preparation experience.
- Research or Clinical Research experience.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with and support Radiation Oncology faculty on their translational research projects.
- Develop strong relationships with internal and external collaborators and facilitate clear communication.
- Work with Management/Leadership team as needed to develop workflows, streamline operations, and support faculty.
- Develop and implement research projects to advance departmental initiatives.
- Provide administrative support to management and leadership teams.
Credentials and Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or other healthcare-related field.
- Must have (5) five years of experience working in clinical, behavioral, epidemiological, and/or equivalent research project management experience in a science specialty.
- In lieu of a Masters and 5 years, a bachelor's degree in a field of study noted in the requirements and 7 years of experience working in the above specialty fields of research may be considered.
- Must have the ability to work well under the pressure of meeting mandatory deadlines.
- Must have good organizational skills and careful attention to detail.
