Pay Range $19.07-$29.56*

Cancer Treatment Center –Clerical Coordinator – Full Time- Day Shift- 7a-3p – Req# 7611

The Clerical Coordinator reports directly to the DOCCS program manager. The Clerical Coordinator serves as a point of contact and liaison for specialty referrals and services within the organization and facilitates patients through the CHMC clinical system. Identify and solve issues and concerns related to referral requests. Analyze and integrate data from claims and clinical information. Evaluate integrated medical data to maximize and generate business opportunities. Secure clinical authorization for all services. Monitor and coordinate patients’ treatment plan and connect them with providers to meet their needs. Work with physicians to develop business strategies and patient services. Collaborate with healthcare providers to assist clients navigating through the health care system. Set up and monitor the orthopedic clinic at Riverview Correctional Facility and other clinics as established. Assure all information is collected, equipment is available and orders are reviewed prior to services being delivered. Assist in delivering timely and customer friendly services at CHMC. Work with Reception & Scheduling, PC and Medical Billing departments to establish and monitor client accounts. Ensure that all charges are correct and perform charge reconciliation.

Qualifications: High School graduate or equivalent. Ability to effectively, skillfully, and efficiently use general office equipment (i.e. computer, dictating equipment, copier, fax machine) including the operation of Microsoft Office. Typing skills, clerical skills, excellent customer service skills, ability to manage multiple phone lines required. Knowledge of insurance verification/authorization preferred.
