About You
As our Safety Manager, you bring unparalleled organization and attention to detail. Your enthusiasm for creating and implementing dynamic training programs, combined with your keen eye for process improvement, will drive our company to new safety milestones and uphold our target zero legacy. You'll collaborate with operations leadership and embody Anvil's safety culture when engaging with clients and stakeholders. Your unwavering focus on safety, coupled with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, will ensure we maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
A Day in the Life of a Safety Manager:
Accountable for the company Safety Program and collaborates with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety policies and procedures.
Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules and monitors compliance with safety procedures.
Manages workplace injuries and identifies opportunities to minimize injuries, accidents, and health problems.
Coordinates alcohol and drug screening for new hires and randoms for current employees.
Leads the company Safety Committee, with monthly meetings and safety topics to be distributed to each work group.
Collaborates with operations leadership to maintain good standing and proactive presence at client facilities.
What youll need:
Bachelors degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required.
Demonstrated knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
Intrinsic motivation with a sense of urgency to respond to situations and requests.
