Billing Coordinator at University Health System- San Antonio – San Antonio, Texas

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the daily downloading of grant and entitlement claims. Major Functions include: review of clinical records for billing utilization, maintain billing and tracking with accuracy, coordinates with clinics on billing errors and additional information required. Reports progress on key indicators to staff and management on a regular basis

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school graduate or equivalent required. College or commercial courses in billing and coding preferred. Three years strong experience in third party billing or collections is required. Two years in 1500 and 2017 claim forms is preferred. Must be familiar with a clinical or hospital environment
