X-Ray Technologist in Chicago, Illinois at US Services

Job Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist, takes images of various portions of the body by operating portable x-ray equipment at patient’s location. Processes and critiques radiographic film, prepares equipment, supplies and medications.

Qualifications:

Education: Completion of a two year approved School of Radiologic Technology

Licensure: Valid state radiology registration as required by state law

Certification: Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology

Duties and Responsibilities

Follow physician’s order and use radiation safety measures to comply with regulations and to ensure safety of patients and staff.

Review and evaluate x-ray images to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes

Position imaging equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance, according to specification of the exam

Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during x-rays

Operate imaging equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes

Work with the dispatch to fulfill the orders.

Essential Functions:

Valid Driving License with clean driving record

Frequently move/lift between 50-100 pounds, depending on assignment requirements

Ability to work as a team member
