Job Description

Position Title: Clinician

Salary: Unlicensed $47,500 - $52,500 | Licensed: $61,800 - $66,950

Various Locations: Gainesville FL, Lake City FL, Starke FL, Chiefland FL, Ocala FL, MacClenny FL, Live Oak FL, Trenton FL, Palatka FL, Lake Butler FL

MinimumQualifications:

  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology or closely related field.
  • LCSW, LMHC, LMFT or Licensed Psychologist
  • At least one year of experience in counseling
  • Working knowledge of the Florida Mental Health Act ("Baker Act") preferred

Must have a current Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record whilemeeting company insurance requirements.
In order to qualify as a CenterDriver, the candidate must at least 21 years of age and have an active FloridaDriver's license. Motor Vehicle Record will be reviewed foreligibility. No more than 3 moving violations and/or accidents within thepast 3 years and no major violations during the past 5 years. Drivers over 65years old must provide a current doctor's note stating they have no drivinglimitations.


Preference is given to candidates with experience counselingsubstance abuse or dual diagnosed clients.

EssentialDuties/Responsibilities:

1. Completebio-psychosocial assessment of assigned clients within 24 hour of admission.

2. Counselsubstance abuse and dual diagnosis clients, individually and in group sessions,to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes.

3. Completeand maintain accurate records and reports regarding the patients' histories andprogress, services provided, and other required information.

4. Develop individualizedclient treatment plans within 7 days of admission, based on research, clinicalexperience, and client histories.

5. Review andevaluate clients' progress in relation to measurable goals and objectivesdescribed in treatment and care plans.

6. Interviewclients, review records, and confer with other professionals in order toevaluate individuals' mental and physical condition, and to determine theirsuitability for participation in a specific program.

7. Interveneas advocate for clients or patients in order to resolve emergency problems incrisis situations.

***Outpatient program Clinicians***

Position Title: Clinician

Department: Outpatient

Reports to: Program Director

Salary Range: Master's Degree in Counseling Related Field Required Un-Licensed $47,500 ($5,000 additive for community based)

Position Summary: This position covers schools, and or services at client/family residence and other community locations. This advanced professional counseling position provides clinical evaluation, treatment, and consultation services. A typical client may have a mild to severe mental health issues and/or substance use addiction. It is essential that the clinician is able to build professional empathetic relationships with clients, guardians and school personnel, while providing efficient and appropriate direct clinical services Community Services additive in effect when 30% or greater of billed services are occurring each quarter in the school, home or community.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

MA/MS required from an accredited university with major course work in the areas of psychology, mental health counseling, social work, health education or a related clinical human services field. One year of experience in clinical services preferred. Experience working with children/teens preferred or identified specials populations.

Experience: Outpatient clinical experience preferred. Work experience must include work with population to be served.

Driver Requirement:

Must have a current Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record while meeting company insurance requirements.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Perform clinical assessments to determine diagnosis, level of care, treatment plan, and make recommendations to other agencies about these issues as needed.

2. If applicable, completes NOMS grant related documentation as required at admission, six month follow up and discharge/post discharge follow up where indicated/required.

3. Complete any relevant reports for funding sources including outcome data, treatment status reports and performance indicators.

4. Work in an integrated format with team members including prescribers care coordinators, peer specialists and outreach coordinators, medical and central intake staff.

2. Provides therapy services to assigned clients and/or family members in accordance with Center guidelines and procedures, and best practice standards for his/her profession. Any of the following may apply:

• Services are provided in locations such as schools, client homes, and in the clinic.

• Therapy is offered in a number of modalities including individual, family, and group. Some services may be delivered via telehealth.

• Therapy may include a range of levels of care from prevention and educational approaches to intensive on-site/in-home outpatient care.

4. Therapy is offered to clients with a range of problems including, but not limited to,

• Mental health issues, based on DSM diagnosis

• Substance abuse/dependence, based on DSM diagnosis

• Issues related to sexual, physical, emotional abuse and its consequences.

5. Crisis intervention/assessment

• Telephone screening for need for services or eligibility

• Face-to-face screening to determine need for inpatient admission.

• Provides consultation services to staff from other agencies also working with the client.

• Provide sufficient services to meet revenue requirements: 1170 billed hours per year.

6. Facilitates continuity of services within the agency and community for assigned clients.

7. Documents all services provided in a timely and accurate manner in electronic medical record, consistent with Center guidelines and procedures, and best practice standards for his/her profession.

8. Documents all services and job duties as required for billing, payroll, and reimbursement purposes, in accordance with Center guidelines and procedures.

9. Specific competencies required are identified on a department/program specific basis and identified in each employee's Competency Checklist. The following are general and apply to all positions with this title.

10. This position is responsible for the coordination and delivery of clinical services to include family, group and individual therapy for assigned clients. Assigned clients may include scheduled and unscheduled clients.
