HR Generalist
TerraPower is seeking a highly motivated HR Generalist to support our growing and dynamic team. The HR Generalist (Operations) supports the execution of core HR operational processes and employee lifecycle activities, ensuring HR programs, systems, and documentation are administered efficiently and in compliance with company policies.
This role partners closely with the HR Operations Specialist to support onboarding coordination and serves as a backup for onboarding processes. The HR Generalist also supports HR programs administration, HR systems and data management, compliance activities, and employee support while working collaboratively with HR Business Partners, Payroll, Recruiting, and other stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective HR operations.
Responsibilities:
-HR Compliance & Documentation
• Maintain employee documentation and records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate periodic internal reviews of HR documentation, including I-9 forms and onboarding records, to support regulatory compliance.
• Maintain accurate HR documentation and support compliance initiatives, including the administration of records retention practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and lead the development of standard operating procedures and internal guidance to enhance operational efficiency and consistency.
-HR Programs Administration
• Provide operational support for HR programs including workforce mobility, alternative work arrangements (AWA), and employee lifecycle processes.
• Uphold and promote adherence to HR program requirements, documentation standards, and internal policies to support consistent practices.
• Coordinate HR program initiatives and support implementation of improvements across HR operations.
-Employee Support
• Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs through HR service channels.
• Respond to HR inquiries and assist employees with navigating HR resources and processes.
-HR Operations & Onboarding Support
• Partner closely with the HR Operations Specialist to support onboarding processes and ensure a smooth and consistent onboarding experience for new hires.
• Serve as backup support for onboarding activities when needed, including onboarding documentation, workflows, and coordination with internal stakeholders.
• Partner HR Operations Specialist in maintaining onboarding checklists, documentation tracking, and onboarding program compliance requirements.
• Support continuous improvement of onboarding processes and automation within HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now.
-HR Systems & Data Support
• Support upkeep of HRIS systems and employee data, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation across HR systems.
• Support HR reporting and dashboards, track workforce data, and analyze HR metrics and documentation trends to support operational insights and leadership reporting
• Maintain accurate employee datasets, organizational charts, and other HR records as required.
-Key Qualifications and Skills:
• B.S. degree in Business, Communications, Human Resources Management, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in HR operations, HR programs administration, or generalist roles within a corporate environment.
• Experience supporting HR systems (HRIS) and maintaining employee data and documentation.
• Working knowledge of HR processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee documentation, and HR program administration.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity when handling sensitive employee information.
-Preferred Qualifications:
• HR experience supporting an engineering, technical, or highly regulated organization.
• Familiarity with HRIS systems such as ADP Workforce Now or similar platforms.
• Understanding HR compliance requirements, including I-9 documentation and records management.

Job details:
Salary Range 8: $87,686 - $131,529
We typically place offers in the lower to middle portion of the range to maintain internal equity and allow room for growth. Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected individual’s qualifications experience. This range is specific to Washington State.
