This position is not a remoteposition and requires candidates to reside within commuting distance todowntown New Orleans.

Job Summary:

TheCost Control Specialist is responsible for supporting project teams byperforming cost control activities for a portfolio of projects. Responsibilities will include validating andreporting project costs, calculation of cost accruals, and processing contractsand invoices.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Workwith all relevant project and discipline personnel to prepare project costexpectations and tracking tools.

• Understandall relevant project documents pertaining to the preparation of cost controlplans and reports.

• Ensuringthe integrity of accounting information and providing analytical services fortransmission and substation projects.

• Monitoring,maintaining, and completing key reports and providing analytical functionstowards capital projects utilizing data and other critical deliverables.

• Collecting,evaluating, and reporting Capital budget, project cost, work order closings andvariance reporting.

• Initiate,monitor, maintain and close out of capital work orders in all legal entities.

• Createand analyze capital budgets, financial forecasts, reporting of actual financialresults and variance explanations.

• Workwith accounting on reconciling invoices.

• Assistsin the preparation of accruals.

• Additionalduties as assigned.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

Required Basic or Minimum Qualifications

• HighSchool Diploma or the equivalent required;

• Two(2) years of experience as a project cost analyst or similar role;

• Workingknowledge of cost control software; and the ability to learn new softwareplatforms quickly

• Proficientin Microsoft Excel;

• Intermediatelevel skills with Microsoft Office software (Word, Powerpoint, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor'sdegree;

• Abilityto work with minimal supervision;

• Abilityto learn new software platforms quickly;

• Abilityto pay close attention to detail;

• Abilityto interact effectively with staff at all levels;

• Availabilityand the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously;

• Availabilityand ability to travel to client sites on occasion;

• Availabilityand ability to work overtime as needed based on project.

AdditionalApplication Requirement

Tobe considered, candidates residing outside of commuting distance to the officeare required to provide a cover letter regarding their intentions to relocateto the local area and that the candidate understands that there will be norelocation assistance provided. Working Conditions:

• Interactionwith other team members, as well as supervisors and client personnel

• Maybe required to travel out of town on a periodic basis to obtain project fielddata or attend project meetings

• Fieldduties may require outdoor work in a plant, facility or terminal environment

• Mustbe able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department forpersonal protection

• Maybe at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climatechanges

• Sufficientclarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities which permitsemployee to communicate effectively

• Abilityto sit for prolonged periods of time

• Sufficientmanual dexterity which permit the employee to perform routine office duties

• Sufficientpersonal mobility and physical reflexes to perform office duties and travelwhen necessary to off-site locations
