JOB SUMMARY |
Characteristics of the Class: Prepare raw materials to be decollated at specified lengths. While focusing on visual quality, make sure machine Is running properly at all times. |
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
1. Obtain production schedules from the computer or Foreman to determine what material is needed. |
2. Make sure material is cut to specified lengths as designated by Product Quality Department. |
3. Continually monitor raw materials for visual quality and line up, make any necessary adjustments. |
4. Thread machine up; make splices and re-thread machine as needed. |
5. Change out pallets and make sure corresponding ORACLE tags are placed in each completed pallet. |
6. Set up rolls and pallets for oncoming crew. |
7. Follow all ISO procedures as written. |
8. Make sure all computer work and paperwork has been accurately completed. |
9. Regular attendance required. |
10. Maintain neat, accurate, and complete logs. |
Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner. |
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES |
1. Operation of equipment and machinery in a safe manner. 2. Knowledge of the safety standards applicable to the Production areas and other pertinent rules/regulations governing work standards. 3. Ability to operate lift truck equipment. 4. Math and calculator skills. 5. Demonstrated ability to lead others in a team environment to accomplish department goals. 6. Ability to work with minimum supervision. 7. Ability to read a tape measure. |
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS |
EDUCATION: High School Graduate or GED |
EXPERIENCE: One year of work experience to include 6 months of decorative collating experience. (If no candidates possess this experience, the company will accept 6 months experience in Melamine, Assembly or Pressing) Have a working knowledge of computers and all relevant Oracle transactions. |
WORKING CONDITIONS |
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Heavy work. Tasks involves pushing / pulling of material up to 100lbs, lifting up to 85lbs from floor to mid-thigh, lift up to 50lbs from mid-thigh to shoulder, lift 40lbs from shoulder to overhead, carry up to 135lbs and standing and walking during a minimum ten hour shift. |
ENVIRONMENT: Located in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises which cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness. Examples: engineering, waste mgt, laundry workers and yards/grounds staff |
