As a Director of Regional Industrial Sales, you will lead the growth and execution of BrandSafways Industrial sales strategy across the Western U.S., driving revenue through strong customer relationships, disciplined pipeline management and close partnership with operational leadership. You will lead a high-performing regional sales team while building strategic growth plans that expand into new end markets, while strengthening existing industrial accounts to support long-term, profitable growth.
This role requires a minimum of 50% travel and includes a target pay for performance (P4P) bonus starting at 30%.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market analysis and set overall strategy for the industrial segment, driving the development of a growth pipeline within the region.
- Own regional industrial market strategy and identify high value growth opportunities across major industrial sectors.
- Build focused growth plans for Semiconductors, Data Centers, Power Generation, Mining, and other priority industrial markets.
- Partner with Area Directors and operations leaders to align sales strategy with execution capability across major industrial projects.
- Develop strategic relationships with plant operators, EPC contractors, and large industrial asset owners.
- Develop executive relationships with plant managers, asset owners, EPC firms, and procurement leaders.
- Maintain accurate CRM forecasting and pipeline visibility across all major pursuits.
- Manage team performance to achieve or exceed defined sales targets and key performance measures.
- Mentor and cultivate key sales talent within the region to build a pipeline of future leaders.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and serve as a role model within the organization, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Oversee the creation and execution of employee onboarding, training, and development programs to accelerate time to proficiency and enhance team effectiveness.
- Ensure team adherence to established sales processes, standards, and protocols.
- Review performance reports and dashboards to measure impact, track progress, and identify
- actionable insights.
- Collaborate with Region, Division, and Company leadership to ensure strategic alignment and address business priorities.
- Navigate internal and external economic factors, such as costs, margins, and ROI, to drive sustainable business growth.
- Engage directly with clients, including C-suite executives, to address business challenges, identify solutions, and develop mitigation strategies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, with a focus on industrial sales and managing regional or multi-regional teams.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and market expansion within the industrial sector.
- Experience developing and executing strategic sales plans, including penetrating underserved markets.
- Demonstrated success in coaching and mentoring sales managers and high-potential talent.
- Familiarity with integrating product subject matter experts (SMEs) into sales strategies to enhance customer value.
- Strong strategic thinking and market analysis skills, with the ability to create actionable plans that drive growth.
- Excellent leadership and team-building capabilities, with a focus on fostering a high-performance culture.
- Advanced communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence C-suite executives.
- Proficiency in leveraging sales analytics tools, dashboards, and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) to track performance and gain insights.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, capable of handling complex sales operations and multiple priorities.
- In-depth understanding of industrial sales processes, market dynamics, and economic factors affecting the sector.
- Expertise in financial metrics, including cost management, margins, and ROI analysis.
- Results-oriented leader with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes and achieving business goals.
- Adaptable and innovative, with the ability to navigate economic fluctuations and industry challenges.
