Department: Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor: Director of Diagnostic Imaging Supervises: None Job Summary Provides exceptional customer service while facilitating and performing scheduling coordination and other administrative functions to ensure high-quality imaging services are accurately provided. Works in tandem with the Director of Diagnostic Imaging to provide the best patient care experience possible and supports the Diagnostic Imaging Staff in creating an enjoyable and productive work environment. Responsible for ensuring competency of staff and provides oversight to Imaging Support Specialists. Duties include interviewing, scheduling staff, providing input for staff hires and performance reviews, directing daily work activities, ensuring accurate and efficient care coordination, and other related tasks. Perform all duties of the Imaging Support Specialist role.
Compensation
We are committed to providing wage ranges for all open positions. Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on experience, education and internal equity considerations. The hourly wage range for this position is $20.27–$28.61. This range reflects the base salary for this position.
Key Accountabilities
    Performs and communicates complex care coordination; demonstrates leadership and serves as a role model for staff, using time and resources effectively, and demonstrates a positive attitude.
    Orients, mentors and assures proper training and complete competency testing of new and existing employees to ensure a high level of competency among team members. Collaborates with Director when staff quality/performance does not meet standards.
    Ensures accurate coordination of patient appointments, authorization approvals, and schedule for multiple modality areas. Promotes a proactive environment to anticipate schedule needs and identify potential issues that could hinder providing services.
    Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for the position and is the source of expertise for Imaging Support Specialists and Imaging scheduling processes.
    Identifies opportunities for and participates in process and quality improvement initiatives and supports new technology and department/organizational initiatives.
    Provides input for staff hires and performance reviews, coordinates, and directs staff work activities and optimizes staff productivity. Promote staff growth, development, and employee engagement in a supportive learning environment.
    Meets all role expectations of the Imaging Support Specialist.
Required Qualifications
    High School Diploma or Equivalent, 3 or more years of complex clinical scheduling experience
    Must be enrolled in NH+C RQI program for BLS certification and complete the requirements within 90 days of enrollment. Must remain current (complete quarterly assignments prior to the end of each calendar quarter).
    Initial Crisis Prevention Certification (CPI) within six months.
    Workplace Violence education in New Employee Orientation and annually thereafter
    Must be able to speak, read, and write English proficiently to ensure safe and effective communication in a healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications
    Associates degree
    5 to 7 years of experience scheduling and/or supporting complex services in a healthcare setting
Schedule
  • 64 hours per two-week pay period
  • Monday—Friday, 6:45am-3:15pm or 8:30am-5:00pm
