This role focuses on driving growth and strengthening relationships with industrial manufacturing accounts. You will manage a portfolio of existing customers while identifying opportunities to generate new business. The position involves regular engagement with key decision-makers, account planning, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver solutions that meet customer needs. Success in this role requires a results-oriented mindset, strong sales skills, and the ability to balance maintaining current business with pursuing incremental growth. You will also support brand initiatives through targeted campaigns, product education, and customer engagement. This is a hands-on sales role that offers the chance to contribute directly to business growth in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Manage and grow direct account business with industrial manufacturing clients, maintaining regular contact through phone, email, or in-person visits.
- Conduct outbound prospecting to identify and secure new business opportunities.
- Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and inventory teams to ensure high service levels and timely delivery.
- Facilitate business reviews and maintain contracts or pricing agreements to preserve and expand account relationships.
- Use business data and reporting tools to drive account development and sales strategy.
- Support brand initiatives including product training, sampling, promotional campaigns, and participation in trade shows.
- Execute recipe development, menu ideation, and customer-specific solutions to maximize sales impact.
- Track all customer interactions for performance management and internal reporting purposes.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of account or sales management experience, preferably in industrial, food, or ingredient sales.
- Proven success in quota-carrying roles with a focus on driving revenue growth.
- Experience working with industrial manufacturers, co-packers, meal-kit providers, or branded food producers.
- Ability to perform consistent outbound prospecting and develop new business relationships.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, sales activity tracking, and business intelligence tools.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
- Ability to travel up to 25% as required.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, Logistics, Marketing, Revenue Management) is a plus.
