The Division of Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Preventive Medicine, within the department of Internal Medicine, is seeking an HS Research Tech I for the HOMES project. This project isbeing funded by the State of New Mexico in cooperation with the Department ofWorkforce Solutions. This position will meet with the unhoused in the communityto survey individuals and help ascertain the needs and conditions of unhousedpopulations.
This New Mexico based study engages a partnership networkthat spans academic institutions, community health services, and governmentbodies. The study aims to provide actionable data to inform targetedinterventions by community and public health groups, clinical organizations, andacademic institutions. This position will serve a key role by meeting withcommunity members one on one to collect data.
The Department of Internal Medicine is a large, progressivedepartment with a diverse staff working in dedicated teams to provide qualitywork in an organized, effective, and efficient manner through innovation,training, and education. Through our collaborative work effort, we support thefaculty and enhance the missions of the department, school, Health SciencesCenter, and University.

Conditions of Employment:
- For individual positions in which driving is a job requirement, a valid NM driver's license and valid UNM driver's permit will be required.
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check.
- Annual TB testing may be required if working in a patient care area.
