Cogir of Potomac is seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven Director of Sales & Marketing to serve as the face of our community throughout the local healthcare and senior services market. This is an exciting opportunity for a high-energy business development professional who enjoys networking, cultivating referral partnerships, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of seniors and their families.

In this highly visible role, you will build and strengthen relationships with healthcare professionals, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, physicians, case managers, senior service providers, community organizations, referral partners, and local influencers who help guide seniors and their families through important care decisions. Your ability to establish trust, create strategic partnerships, and generate qualified referrals will directly contribute to the growth and success of our community.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary ambassador for Cogir of Potomac throughout the local healthcare and senior services market.
  • Develop and maintain a strong network of referral partners including hospitals, physicians, rehabilitation centers, case managers, discharge planners, home health agencies, elder law attorneys, financial planners, and other senior service professionals.
  • Create strategic outreach plans that generate qualified referrals and increase community visibility.
  • Build, nurture, and expand relationships with key influencers and decision-makers who guide senior living placement decisions.
  • Represent the community at networking events, professional associations, trade shows, educational programs, and community events.
  • Conduct personalized tours and educational presentations for referral partners, healthcare professionals, and prospective residents and families.
  • Identify new business opportunities and partnership channels that drive occupancy growth.
  • Collaborate with community leadership, operations, and corporate marketing teams to execute targeted growth initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of outreach activities, referrals, and partnership development efforts within Yardi CRM.
  • Analyze outreach performance and referral trends to continuously improve lead generation and conversion results.
  • Actively contribute to achieving and exceeding occupancy and revenue goals through strategic business development efforts.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education is required.

Experience, Competencies, and Skills:

  • A highly motivated relationship-builder with a passion for networking, business development, and creating strategic partnerships that drive results.
  • 3-5 years of experience in senior living external business development and sales preferred.
  • Has a proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales goals.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, high initiative, and good judgment.
  • Demonstrate professional ethics with a positive attitude, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to motivate others and work within a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and CRM.
