Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 6:00pm
OVERVIEW:
Working as a Full-time General Ledger Staff Accountant, you will enjoy the opportunity to participate in an energetic work environment helping the company comply with its intercompany accounting and transactions between subsidiaries for Fastenal's world-wide locations. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Preparing legal entity financial reporting
o Recording journal entries related to intercompany transactions
o Processing various month-end, quarter-end and annual close activities including reconciliations and account analysis
o Overseeing compliance with global intercompany policies
o Processing intercompany invoicing and settlement
o Creating and implementing efficiencies in intercompany processes
o Assisting with set-up of new international locations
o Participating in development projects - planning, testing and implementation
o Performing special projects and other administrative tasks as necessary

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The skills and qualifications for this position include:
o Possess or are working towards a bachelor's degree in Accounting OR have relevant work experience
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
o Work independently as well as in a team environment
o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o Proficient using PeopleSoft

COMPENSATION:
The base pay range for this position is $42,000 - 52,500. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
