Senior Software Engineer – Full-Stack (Azure & AI)
Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Full‑Stack (Azure & AI) to serve as a foundational engineering leader as we build and scale our technology platform. This role will play a critical part in standing up our Microsoft Azure cloud environment while also building and deploying production‑grade full‑stack applications.
This role is ideal for a highly autonomous, hands‑on senior engineer who enjoys making meaningful technical decisions, delivering real production systems, and evaluating long‑term fit through hands‑on impact.
This is an onsite role at our Minneapolis Office.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering
• Design and stand up Microsoft Azure infrastructure from scratch to support modern enterprise applications
• Architect and manage Azure services including Azure SQL Database, Azure App Service, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Functions, and Azure API Management
• Make independent infrastructure decisions balancing scalability, security, cost, and maintainability
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, secrets management, and observability for production systems
Full‑Stack Application Development
• Design, build, and deploy end‑to‑end full‑stack applications used in production
• Develop modern, data‑intensive frontend applications using React and/or Next.js, particularly for enterprise workflows and dashboards
• Build scalable backend APIs and services using Node.js/TypeScript, Python and/or .NET
• Design and optimize relational database schemas and complex transactional workflows
• Own production readiness, performance, and ongoing reliability
AI‑Enabled Engineering
• Integrate AI capabilities into applications, including LLM APIs, document processing, RAG systems, AI workflows, and agent‑based architectures
• Actively leverage AI‑assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, and similar platforms to accelerate delivery
• Help establish effective patterns for operating in an AI‑first development environment
Autonomy & Technical Ownership
• Operate as a senior, highly autonomous engineer with end‑to‑end ownership of technical solutions
• Collaborate directly with product, business, and operational stakeholders
• Rapidly move from prototype to production‑ready systems
• Contribute to architectural direction and long‑term technical strategy
Required Qualifications
• 7+ years of hands‑on full‑stack software engineering experience building and deploying production systems
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud‑native services
• Proven ability to design and stand up cloud infrastructure independently
• Strong frontend experience using React and/or Next.js
• Strong backend/API experience using Node.js/TypeScript, Python and/or .NET
• Experience designing relational databases and complex business workflows
• Experience operating production systems with CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and performance optimization
• Hands‑on experience integrating AI or LLM‑based capabilities into applications
• Comfort working in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments with minimal process overhead
Preferred Experience
• Experience acting as a foundational or early‑stage engineering hire
• Prior exposure to AI‑driven system architectures (RAG, agents, document intelligence, etc.)
• Experience collaborating closely with non‑technical stakeholders
• Background building internal tools or enterprise platforms
