Job OverviewWe are looking for a Remodeling Construction Estimator who can help us keep growing without turning into a high-pressure sales shop. This role is part estimator, part trusted advisor, and part operator. We are not looking for a slick closer. We are looking for someone who understands construction, can build trust with homeowners, and can turn complex remodel projects into clear, detailed proposals that help people feel confident saying yes.
Most of our work is full-house remodeling, often in the $100,000$200,000 range. Our proposals are detailed and custom-written, not generic template bids. Clients regularly tell us that the clarity of our proposals is one of the reasons they choose us, so this role matters a lot.
The right person here will want more than a narrow estimating desk job. Depending on your strengths, this role can grow into project management, marketing support, or broader leadership responsibility as the company evolves. We care much more about performance, judgment, and construction sense than degrees or a conventional background.
Who We AreWe are a small, established Fort Worth remodeling company with a close team and a no-corporate-BS culture. Most of our work is in Tarrant County, especially Northeast Tarrant, Burleson/Mansfield, and Azle/Eagle Mountain Lake. We need somebody local enough that the drive will still feel reasonable three months from now, not just in the interview.
This is a company where people wear multiple hats and where good people get room to grow. The ownership team is hands-on. The husband/wife team drives the business, with the wife leading the interior design side. The culture is candid, hard-working, and relaxed in the ways that matter. Your dog is welcome at the office if he/she is not annoying. If you need time off to handle personal stuff, were fine with that. Nobody is obsessed with punching a timeclock, and adults here are trusted to handle their business and get work done.
What Youll Be DoingMeet with clients and help guide them through project scope, planning, and expectations.
Build detailed, custom-written estimates and proposals for remodeling projects.
Translate construction complexity into language clients can understand and trust.
Identify scope implications early. When a client asks for A, you can explain why B may need to happen too.
Work across spreadsheets, documents, and internal systems to keep proposals accurate and usable.
Take on additional responsibilities based on your strengths, which could include project management after the sale or support with marketing and business development.
Strong construction knowledge; a hands-on background is helpful but not required.
Strong people skills and the ability to guide clients without hard-selling them.
Strong writing, spreadsheet, and document-building ability.
Good judgment, professionalism, and the ability to earn trust.
A truck is preferred for carrying materials; mileage is paid, and a shared company truck is available when needed.
You should be based in Tarrant County or very nearby.
Compensation structure with base pay plus commission or profitability-based upside, with strong earning potential for a high performer.
Paid vacation, paid holidays, and usually a MondayFriday schedule with rare weekend work.
Health, dental, and vision insurance available.
A real opportunity to grow into more responsibility as the company expands.
