Experienced In-Field Fabricator/Welder at All Weather Contractors Inc – Orange Park, Florida

All Weather Contractors' Property Maintenance Division is growing with lots of opportunities to work. We are located in the Orange Park area and we have an immediate opening for a Certified Welder and Helper. We serve multi-family housing, townhomes, and apartment complexes, as well as some commercial. We are looking for people who have high-quality Service work experience.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

-Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements to ensure the proper dimensions of the finished product to meet the design.
-Operate and maintain various tools and equipment such as welding machines, grinders, and plasma cutters.
-Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components using various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, FCAW)
-Perform welding tasks on a variety of materials including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
-Conduct quality inspections to ensure work meets codes, standards, and specifications.
-Use measuring tools to ensure accurate dimensions and fit of fabricated parts.
-Familiarity with grinding & sanding of welded areas to various degrees of finishing
-Collaborate with team members to plan and prioritize work assignments.
-Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Welders must have experience; A test will be given.
-Hold any current AWS D1.1 welding qualification for SMAW(Stick) or FCAW (Flux core MIG) welding of steel.
MIG process welding of Aluminum, Mild Steel, and Stainless Steel
-Use of Basic Hand Tools (Must Have own Tools)
-Familiarity with basic metal repairs to Apartment community Stairs, railings, fencing & gates at a Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
Strong knowledge & experience in metal fabrication processes including machining, assembly, soldering, rigging, and plasma cutting.
-Knowledge of codes and standards related to fabrication and welding.
-Communication/ Coordination with on-site Construction Superintendents & other subcontractors
-Must be able to clean, prepare, cut, and burn steel plates.
-Must be reliable, self-motivated, team-oriented, and a problem solver.
-Position can sometimes require lifting and physical labor.
-Dependability is a must. You must have punctual attendance, be able to follow instructions, and respond to management direction.
