About This Position
At Merrimack Health, we are committed to pay transparency and equity. The base salary range is $45.27 to $67.91 hourly, excluding fringe benefits and potential bonuses.
Your final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, and internal equity considerations. Offers are typically made below the top of the range to support future salary growth.
Position Summary:
As the MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for patient safety and the performance of high-quality MR studies. Ensures effective communication with customers, including radiologists, as necessary. In some instances, it trains new technologists and/or patient coordinators.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique, etc.
- Produces high quality diagnostic images.
- Orders supply, cleans units, assists in preparing for transport on a daily basis.
- Effectively communicate with customers and/or radiologists.
- Trains new technologists and/or PCs.
EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
- Registered with ARRT.
- State license, if applicable.
- BLS Certification
- Technologists registered in other modalities — 3 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience or currently enrolled for more than 6 months in an accredited MRI training program.
- MR registered technologist, RT(MR) or ARMRIT — No experience required.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Organizational and multitasking skills.
- Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
Preferred:
- Associate’s degree or Equivalent Experience
- Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
- 1 year of Magnetic Resonance Imaging experience.
