This role provides the opportunity to play a key part in ensuring accurate healthcare payments by auditing claims, analyzing complex data, and identifying recoverable funds. You will work with large datasets, client-specific systems, and industry-standard tools to detect discrepancies, improve processes, and mentor junior team members. The position requires a combination of technical aptitude, analytical rigor, and strong communication skills, as you will collaborate with internal teams, clients, and engineering to enhance audit efficiency. You will also develop new audit concepts, validate their effectiveness, and contribute to continuous process improvements. - Audit client data to identify overpayments, underpayments, and compliance issues, generating high-quality recoverable claims
- Develop, implement, and evaluate new audit concepts and processes to improve payment accuracy
- Train, mentor, and guide less-tenured specialists to execute audit projects effectively
- Use proprietary audit tools and Microsoft Excel to review reports, analyze claims, and document findings
- Collaborate with engineering and internal teams to enhance tools, reporting, and operational efficiency
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, HIPAA compliance, and client-specific guidelines
- Maintain productivity and quality metrics while demonstrating professional judgment and skepticism in audits
- Provide clear, concise documentation and justification for audit findings and claim validations
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 4–6 years of relevant healthcare or audit experience, with knowledge of claim adjustments, provider contracts, reimbursement policies, and payment integrity
- 3–4 years of experience in similar audit or healthcare roles preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access); SQL experience strongly preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and various databases
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for documenting findings and training team members
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to assess accuracy, completeness, and quality of work efficiently
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information
- Competitive hourly rate: $29.00 – $33.00, with discretionary bonus eligibility
