District Sales Manager, Bolting Systems

POSITION SYNOPSIS:

The District Sales Manager will demonstrate strong leadership to drive sales growth and manage the full business lifecycle in an assigned territory. This role demands expertise in shepherding deals—from rentals to purchases—while applying independent technical and commercial judgment.

This person will focus on expanding market footprint through profitable growth, particularly in Oil & Gas, where understanding customer requirements and operational needs is critical. Success hinges on nurturing key relationships and delivering solutions via brands like Bolting Systems.

Ideal candidates grasp Oil & Gas market dynamics and operational priorities, profitably expanding business through strategic key accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales and rental volume across the assigned region, deploying “Value-Selling” methodologies.
  • Meet target profitability goals within the assigned region.
  • Identify weak market areas and develop target customer lists for those areas.
  • Conduct safety-focused sessions emphasizing regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and best practices for industries such as oil & gas and manufacturing.
  • Leverage Oil & Gas knowledge – pricing, competition – to cement Hydraulic Technologies Bolting Systems market leadership.
  • Define key account business strategies and set targets to ensure increased sales revenue and profitability.
  • Is responsive with resources and availability. Maintains a robust and accurate CRM(HubSpot), Power BI System.
  • Spearhead recovery of aging receivables to maximize liquidity in the region.
  • Develop annual sales plans and expense budgets in assigned region.
  • Assist in developing sales promotions and advertising strategy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Review and negotiate settlement of customer complaints in cooperation with other personnel for aftermarket and warranty issues.
  • Position requires up to 50+% travel for customer presentations, sales support, and service consultation as needed.

DELIVERABLES

  • Deliver on forecasted revenue/sales in 2026.
  • Achieve 2026 KPIs of quotes, orders, and # new customers
  • Improve pricing and margin performance on all projects.
  • Working with independent marketing organization, streamline the development, flow and follow-up on leads.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree: or equivalent Sales experience required.

Experience/Competencies

  • Direct B2B success in Oil & Gas rental/sales – with a fierce drive to unseat staid, installed competitors.
  • Off-Shore Oil & Gas knowledge and experience a major plus.
  • Preference toward individuals with commercial experience in the Fluid Power (Hydraulics/Pneumatics) Industry and understanding high-pressure hydraulics for torque tools, tensioners, and pumps.
  • Demonstrates ability to meet and exceed sales quotas, develop, and leverage strong business relationships with customers.
  • Proven track record on successful change leadership. Driving sales transformation and new business creation through “Lean” principles in selling. Supports a “Nemawashi” approach to decision making and action. Deliberate, prepared and informed.
  • Be commercially focused, increasing the volume of profitable sales.
  • Excellent capability to think strategically and turn the big picture into actionable items.
