About This Position

Overall Scope: The Equipment Technician is responsible for maintaining gym equipment on gym properties.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service while performing service call.
  • Complete preventative maintenance and repairs as described by manufacturer specs.
  • Diagnose issues with equipment and order/get quotes for parts needed for repairs
  • Inspect gym equipment and devices to ensure proper operation.
  • Operate gym equipment.
  • Access our online Ticket System to receive and close tickets.
  • Log maintenance and repair requests in the Store Request Log.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Professional attitude, demeanor, and timeliness
  • 3-5 years relevant experience.
  • The successful candidate will need to have reliable transportation
  • Experience of working in a fitness environment is highly preferred.
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions from a manual.
  • Experience with computers preferred.
  • You must have effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic skills with hand and some power tools required.
  • Adaptable to changing work methods and flexibility during the workday is required.
  • Ability to lift heavy items (150 lbs. or more) repeatedly while climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, walking, etc.
  • Must be able to engage in repetitive motions during shift.
  • This position involves traveling to various gyms in the metro area.
