About This Position
Summary:
Human Resources Coordinator provides strong problem solving and decision-making skills with a deep understanding of employee relationships, staffing management and payroll. Also, coordinators handle HR conflict, effective at scheduling HR and thorough in the recruitment process.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and aid.
- Redirect HR related calls or distribute correspondence to theappropriate personof the team.
- Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves,etc.) in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met.
- Provide support on government compliance matters of HR.
- Support the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing candidates, performing background checks,assistingin shortlisting, issuing employmentcontractsetc.
- Assistsupervisors in performance management procedures.
- Schedule meetings, interviews, HReventsetc.andmaintainthe team’s agenda.
- Produce andsubmitreports on general HR activity.
- Assistin HRprojectsas necessary.
- Support in the implementation of Human Resources policies,procedures,and manuals.
- Develop anddemonstrateknowledge in Puerto Rico (PR) labor laws.
- Support payroll process on a bi-weekly basis inpayrollsystem.
- Audit employee files for Company compliance requirementsas needed.
- Preparation of monthly progress reportsand other reports.
- Perform othertasks asassigned by immediate supervisor.
Requirements: You must be good at time management, organization, presentations, negotiations, and communication. Proficient in Office 365, Outlook Apps and skilled in the management of computers and information systems. Ability to work with little supervision. Strong team player and attention to detail. Great analytical and problem-solving skills. Extensive Federal and State Labor Law knowledge. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills written and verbally. Fully Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Knowledge areas: Intermediate or Advance Knowledge of Microsoft Word Office 365, Computers and other devices, technology savvy. Payroll, ATS and HR programs.
Education: Bachelor’s degree and or Master’s in Human Resources or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Human Resources Administration.
Required Skills: Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology. Proficient in Microsoft office (MS word, excel, power point, outlook). Strong computer and systems information skills. Writing & speaking skills both in English and Spanish.
Preferrable Skills: Project management, leadership, cultural organization practices.
Licenses and Certifications: SHRM Certification as Human Resources Officer and/or others. Must be legally authorized to perform work in Puerto Rico. Also, must have driver's license.
Physical, Mental and Environment Demands: Available to work after regular working hours, weekends and/or holidays and in a fast-paced environment. Must be available to work in any legal activity that represent a business opportunity for the company.
