Position Summary
Southern Marinas is seeking a dynamic and experienced Marina General Manager to oversee operations at San Marco Marina in Goodland, Florida. This role is responsible for leading all aspects of marina operations, including customer service, financial performance, staff management, and facility maintenance. The General Manager will ensure an exceptional guest experience while driving revenue growth and maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
• Oversee day-to-day marina operations including dockage, fuel dock, retail, service coordination, and amenities
• Ensure the marina is clean, safe, and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and service quality
Financial Performance
• Manage budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Monitor revenue streams including slip rentals, fuel sales, retail, and service operations
• Control expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth
Team Leadership & HR
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise marina staff, including seasonal employees
• Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on customer service and accountability
• Manage employee scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions
Customer Experience
• Deliver exceptional service to boaters, guests, and tenants
• Address customer inquiries, concerns, and escalations in a timely and professional manner
• Build strong relationships with seasonal and long-term customers
Maintenance & Safety
• Oversee maintenance of docks, equipment, buildings, and grounds
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and emergency procedures
• Coordinate repairs, vendor services, and capital improvement projects
Sales & Marketing
• Drive occupancy and revenue through proactive sales efforts and local partnerships
• Support marketing initiatives, promotions, and community engagement
• Maintain strong relationships with local businesses, tourism partners, and vendors

Qualifications
• 5+ years of management experience, preferably in marina, hospitality, or marine-related operations
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and P&L management
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Knowledge of marina operations, boating industry, and fuel dock procedures preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, especially during peak season

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Capable of walking docks, lifting up to 50 lbs, and performing occasional manual tasks
