Position Summary:
The UNM Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences isseeking an Operations Specialist. Our operations specialist will be responsiblefor the design, development and maintenance of projects to improve operationalefficiencies across a multi-faceted, multi-division, department with clinical,academic, research, and community missions. Projects may consist of constituentdatabases, website maintenance, faculty HR and evaluation processes, facilityimprovements, administrative improvements and process automations. Willorganize and coordinate the implementation of project plans to ensurecompliance and timeliness as well as maintenance and improvement of operatingefficiency for projects such as clinical contracting, space management,building maintenance and remodeling, and external contracts. The candidateshould have a UNM purchasing card or the ability to obtain one and accountingknowledge to budget and reconcile accounts. The ideal candidate will be asupportive team member skilled in effectively and personably communicating withdiverse constituents using multiple platforms, achieving results in adeadline-driven environment and adept at recognizing inefficiencies andrecommending solutions.

The Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences is a multi-division department within the UNM School of Medicine. - Create and maintain Smartsheet dashboards, databases and contact lists
- Support website maintenance
- Project Management
- Meeting coordination and travel arrangements
- Creating marketing materials, brochures, newsletters
- Oversight and coordination of building maintenance
- Space allocation
- Coordinating office supplies and services, telecommunications, surplus management
- File retention management

- Advanced skills in MS Office and Smartsheet.
- Experience in an academic medical setting.
- Experience with website maintenance (Cascade).
- Demonstrated project coordination and administrativeexperience including purchasing.
- Experience with building and equipment maintenance.
- Accounting experience - budgeting and account reconciliation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and abilityto work effectively and amicably with various constituents including faculty,staff, and students.
- Demonstrated experience organizing resources andestablishing priorities showing analytical skills and aptitude for resolving inefficiencies.
