Description:
State Fair Community College is an accessible, learning-centered institution, enriching its students and community by providing skills, knowledge and perspectives essential for a changing world.
- The fitness center student worker will monitor the patrons (students, faculty, staff, and retirees) in the Fitness Center. This also involves making sure everyone has a student/staff ID card and that everyone who uses the facility signs in. The student worker will keep up the appearance of the fitness center by vacuuming, dusting, cleaning windows, wiping down equipment after use, washing towels and putting the plate load weights back to the weight racks. Providing a safe and clean environment for the people who use the fitness center is our number one priority. An office student worker would serve at the front desk to assist the public, staff or students that come into the office suite and would also need to be able to scan documents in Banner. An event worker would assist with cleaning, set-up and tear down for events and ball games. Student managers are needed to assist the basketball teams to film, record stats, and do laundry.
- The right applicant will be trained in the weight room on the equipment and it may be required to be able to spot someone lifting weights. Computer and office equipment a plus for an office worker. An event worker would not need any specific training, but lifting is required. A student manager would need to know how to operate a video camera and laptop.
Employment will require a criminal background check at college expense. Preference is given to Missouri residents.
