Medical Director at Westchester Medical Center – Valhalla, New York

Job Summary: The Center for Regional Healthcare Innovation (CRHI) is a collaborative effort, led by the Westchester Medical Center, to facilitate and promote transformation of the healthcare delivery system in the seven county region of the Hudson Valley NY, home to a geographically and ethnically diverse population of over two and a half million people. CHRI will work to achieve health care’s triple aim: better health for the population; better healthcare and experience of healthcare for patients; and lower cost. The collaboration includes many stakeholders. Provides strategic and clinical leadership to advance research excellence, translational science and innovative care models across the enterprise.

Responsibilities:

• Research oversight; provides clinical and regulatory supervision for research programs to ensure quality, compliance and operational efficiency.

• Strategic leadership: define and implement a forward-looking research agenda.

• External partnerships & growth: build relationships with academic, governmental and industry partners in support of the overarching Network priorities.

• Mentorship & Faculty Development: cultivate a culture of inquiry and respect by mentorship of faculty and trainees in research design, funding, and scholarship

Qualifications/Requirements:

Education: MD degree from accredited university required

Licenses / Certifications: Current and valid NYS MD license and registration

Other:

• Proven experience with FDA regulated research and demonstrated leadership in clinical and translation research required; with ongoing, active research preferred.

• Strong track record NIH or other federal funding.

• Expertise in emerging technologies, digital health and AI applications.

• Exceptional emotional intelligence, communication and collaborative skills to work across multiple stakeholder teams.
