Position Description:

We’re seeking a Director of Social Services to provide leadership, oversight, and guidance for all social work services within our facility. In this role, you’ll supervise staff, ensure high-quality psychosocial care, coordinate resources and benefits, and maintain strong connections between treatment teams, families, guardians, and community partners. You’ll also play a critical role in discharge planning and performance improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery.

What You’ll Do

Direct, monitor, and evaluate all social services provided at the facility. Supervise and support social services staff, providing guidance and professional development. Assess, diagnose, and treat individuals from a psychosocial perspective, ensuring timely access to benefits and resources. Maintain ongoing communication with treatment teams, families, guardians, and community providers. Oversee psychosocial assessments, admission/discharge notes, consent forms, and documentation compliance. Coordinate training for social services staff and provide cross-training for other departments. Provide or delegate coverage for treatment team meetings. Identify and implement interventions for discharge barriers and coordinate all discharge activities. Support continuous quality improvement and performance monitoring for social services. What We’re Looking For

Education & Training

Master’s degree in social work or mental health counseling (required) Experience

Three (3) years of experience in a mental health setting with psychiatric social work (preferred) Licenses/Certifications

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), if required by site or contract (required) Why Join Us
