Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare analysis reports that include comparisons between budgeted, trended, and actual costs.
  • Review and code payables invoices in Symbeo.
  • Analyze changes in finished product, raw materials, and processes to determine effects on cost and profitability.
  • Provide accounting support in the areas of production accounting, purchasing, accounts payable, raw materials consumption, and cycle counts of raw materials.
  • Correspond with departments to ensure proper accounting for purchases and expenses.
  • Assist in various weekly reconciliations and memo postings.
  • Review, enter, balance and post daily consumption.
  • Work with our sales teams to prepare and submit uniform payroll deductions to payroll department.
  • Direct inventory counts and complete inventory adjustments in NAV.
  • Ad hoc analysis as requested by Accounting Manager.
  • General office administration including distribution of daily mail from USPS, courier and inter-company locations, preparing mail bags for inter-company mail, and preparing FedEx shipment labels from bakery.
  • Uphold and integrate Company’s Core Values.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Education/Experience

  • 2 year degree in Accounting or related field of study preferred.
  • 2+ years experience in accounting work required.
  • Experience in the manufacturing or food industry is a plus.

Critical Skills and Expertise

  • Excellent data entry skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, especially Excel, and 10-key data entry.
  • High level of attention to detail, confidentiality, accuracy, and thoroughness.
  • Proficiency in identifying problems, perform research, and determine the most appropriate course of action for their resolution.
  • Ability to utilize time management techniques with the ability to organize and manage the work to accomplish the most possible in the time available.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal instruction and supervision.
  • Ability to work with constant noise or interruptions.
  • Ability to work well and collaborate effectively with other teams inside and outside of the bakery.
  • Knowledge of general office equipment such as printers, scanners, copiers, etc.
