We are looking for a skilled Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our database systems. The ideal candidate will ensure database availability, security, performance tuning, and support for business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain database servers (SQL 2017 – SQL 2025).
• Monitor database performance and conduct regular performance tuning.
• Implement, monitor, troubleshoot and fix backup, restore, High Availability and disaster recovery strategies.
• Manage user access, roles, and security privileges.
• Troubleshoot database issues and work with development teams to resolve them.
• Optimize queries and stored procedures for application performance.
• Ensure data integrity, replication, and data migration between environments.
• Automate database tasks and maintain documentation.
• Support database upgrades, patching, and version migrations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Database Administrator or Database Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization (PTO).
• Experience in database backup, restore, and recovery methods.
• Experience with high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) concepts.
• Familiarity with Linux/Windows server environments.
• Understanding of SQL scripting.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Experience with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL).
• Experience with other DB technologies (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Timescale, ClickHouse, Sybase)
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis).
• Experience with automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
