INFECTION PREVENTIONIST/WOUND NURSE at GOLDEN AGE INC – Greenwood, Mississippi

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Infection Preventionist/Wound Nurse to join our team!

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, track, and report infections within the facility
• Ensure compliance with state and federal infection control regulations
• Provide staff education on infection prevention practices
• Oversee wound care program, including assessments and treatments
• Perform regular skin rounds and ensure proper documentation
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team for optimal resident outcomes
• Conduct audits and lead quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• Active nursing license (RN required)
• Experience in long-term care preferred
• Wound care and infection control experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of current standards, guidelines, and best practices
• Strong organizational and communication skills
