Lead Monitor at Innovation At Work Inc – Los Angeles, California

The Lead Monitor functions as the on-site shift supervisor, responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, and continuous operations during assigned shifts. This position directly supervises Monitors and ensures all PWS-required services are executed properly.

• Supervise Monitor staff during assigned shift
• Conduct shift change briefings and required overlap handoffs
• Ensure continuous monitoring of the facility
• Perform and document:
  • Routine safety walkthroughs (every 30 minutes)
  • Resident wellness checks
• Respond to and manage:
  • Emergencies (medical, fire, police)
  • Behavioral incidents
  • Conflict situations
• Ensure proper documentation of:
  • Incident Reports
  • Daily logs
  • Shift reports
• Coordinate with VA personnel and emergency responders
• Maintain control and accountability of:
  • Keys
  • Access points
  • Restricted areas
• Ensure Monitors are:
  • Performing duties
  • Following procedures
  • Maintaining compliance
• Assist with:
  • Intake and discharge activities
  • Resident support needs
• Report issues or deficiencies to Program Director

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of supervisory or lead experience
• Experience in:
  • Security
  • Shelter operations
  • Social services

• Strong leadership and decision-making ability
• Crisis management and de-escalation skills
• Ability to manage multiple staff and tasks simultaneously
