Externship – Medical Assistant

Our Medical Assistant Externs are exposed to the exciting world of healthcare. Most importantly, our externs get significant hands-on experience. We also offer general medical experiences that will be applicable to any medical office or environment, including: rooming of patients, medical history taking, and EMR exposure with EPIC.

We treat patients in a variety of interesting and exciting areas of:

Primary Care

Ø Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Nurse-Midwifery and OB/GYN.

Specialty Care

Ø Breastfeeding Medicine, Cardiovascular Surgery, Colon & Rectal Surgery, Dermatologic Surgery, Dermatology, General Surgery, Hematology/Oncology, Infectious Disease, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Neurology, Orthopedic Surgery, Pulmonary & Critical Care, Rheumatology, Sleep Medicine, Thoracic Surgery, Urology, and Vascular & Endovascular Surgery.
