Reports To: County Lake Manager
Summary: The County Lake Attendant works under the supervision of the County Lake Manager inensuring Coffee County Lake is a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for the public. This positionprimarily involves performing various manual labor tasks related to the daily maintenance of the lakeproperty and common areas, and assisting with operations as directed by the County Lake Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Lake Operations and Maintenance:o Perform daily maintenance of the lake property, including cleaning restrooms, picnic areas,parking lots, and other common spaces as assigned.o Conduct groundskeeping tasks such as grass cutting, trimming, and general landscaping.o Assist with identifying and addressing maintenance needs and potential issues.o Help with necessary repairs or maintenance projects as directed.o Ensure compliance with lake rules and regulations.• Bait and Concession Shop Assistance:o Assist with maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and stocking of the Bait andConcession Shop.o Operate a Point-of-Sale (POS) system to process sales transactions accurately andgenerate receipts as needed.o Handle cash and electronic payment transactions accurately and assist with daily salesreconciliation as directed.o Provide excellent customer service to shop patrons, answering questions and assistingwith their needs.• Common Area Upkeep:o Maintain a regular cleaning schedule for all common areas, including restrooms, picnicshelters, and walkways.o Ensure restrooms are clean, sanitary, and adequately supplied.o Manage waste disposal and ensure proper cleanliness of trash receptacles.• Safety and Security:o Adhere to safety protocols to ensure the safety and security of lake visitors and staff.o Report any accidents, injuries, or security concerns to the County Lake Manager.• Other Duties:o Perform other duties as assigned by the County Lake Manager.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:• Working knowledge of general maintenance practices and procedures.• Ability to operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment such as tractors, rotary cutters,lawnmowers and trimmers.• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.• Basic understanding of retail operations and inventory management may be required.• Proficiency in operating a Point-of-Sale (POS) system for sales transactions and record-keepingmay be required.• Good customer service and communication skills.• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.• Ability to maintain accurate records as needed.
Education and Experience:• High school diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements:• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.• Manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment.
Licenses and Certifications:• Valid driver's license required.• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Work Schedule: May be full-time or part-time, and may be required to work a flexible schedule, includingweekends and holidays.
