About the Role:

The General Labor position is essential for supporting various operational tasks at our South Hill Concrete Plant. The primary goal of this role is to assist the Plant Manager to ensure that projects and daily operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position involves performing physically demanding tasks, maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to company policies and safety regulations. The role requires adaptability to different work settings and the ability to follow instructions accurately to meet project deadlines. Ultimately, the General Laborer contributes to the overall productivity and success of the team by providing reliable and consistent support.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Basic understanding of workplace safety standards and willingness to follow safety guidelines.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a general labor or construction role.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Basic knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
• Ability to operate forklifts or other machinery (with certification).
