The Operations Services Specialist plays a critical role in supporting our retail and bank operations by ensuring seamless, accurate, and compliant transaction processing across the organization. This position serves as a trusted partner to both internal teams and external clients.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, solutions-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced banking environment and enjoys balancing operational precision with an exceptional client experience. The Specialist’s work spans exception processing, transaction research, postings, escheatment activities, and process documentation—helping keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently.
What You’ll Do
(Essential duties include, but are not limited to):
- Manage and prioritize daily workloads to meet deadlines while adhering to bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in an evolving banking and digital-asset landscape.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, clients, and cross-functional partners to resolve issues and share information effectively.
- Process a wide range of client transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
- Provide operational support for both traditional consumer deposit products and emerging digital asset products and services.
- Image client documents and perform quality control reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Perform decisioning on rejected items and research accounts as needed to support branches and back-office teams.
- Process manual cash letters or force-post items that cannot be transmitted electronically.
- Balance multiple high-priority initiatives and pivot quickly as business needs change.
- Create, update, and maintain process documentation, procedures, and policies to support business lines and knowledge-base resources.
- Apply creative problem-solving skills to address operational challenges while meeting regulatory requirements and delivering a premier client experience.
- Organize and track projects from start to resolution, providing clear updates and outcomes.
What You’ll Bring
Education, Experience & Skills
- Strong working knowledge of retail banking operations, regulatory compliance, and policies related to client service, new accounts, and teller functions.
- A client-first mindset with a focus on process improvement and quality control.
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- 3+ years of relevant banking experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and internet-based tools.
- Comfort using banking software applications, with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong listening abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
