The Spirit of the Position:
TheTraffic Control Officersupports the City of Inglewood by directing traffic during special events to help reduce traffic congestion and direct vehicles to certain areas of an event venue.
Event Based -Concert/Basketball: early as 3pm-11:30pm/Football Season early as 9am-7pm
PrincipalJobDuties:
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid drivers license (Forminimumof 2 years)
- Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic for the City, Forum, SoFi Stadium and other Special events.
- Work independently or with a team member, reporting to a field supervisor.
- Resolve customer complaints in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Support Special Event Enforcement of the SoFi Stadium events, Forum events, Intuit Domeand other events throughout the City.
Education:
- High School Diploma orequivalent
Skills:

- Abilityto interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency and timeliness.

- Abilityto speak, read, and comprehend the English language.
- Mustbe able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded).
Physical Demands:
- Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
- Abilityto lift, push and pull at least25 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time (95-100% of shift) - no sitting is allowed.
- Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
