Join the Education Team! We are looking for a Teacher Programs Educator.

Salary - $55k - $60k annually.
POSITION SCOPE
The Teacher Programs Educator (TPE) contributes to teacher professional development, such as workshops and in-services, the Alamo Teacher Institute, and the Alamo Curriculum Project. In collaboration with the education team, the TPE develops and presents classroom resources and lesson plans related to the topic of the professional development workshops and in-services. The TPE supports the Director of Education and Sr. Manager, K-12 Programs and Adult Learning in the planning and execution of the Alamo Teacher Institute, both off-site and in the Texas Cavaliers Education Center (TCEC). The TPE manages the Alamo Curriculum Project in alignment with the galleries planned in the Alamo Visitor Center and Museum under the supervision of the Director of Education. The TPE authors new curriculum, coordinates the contributions of staff and contributors, and supervises the editing and production of the Alamo Curriculum publication.
Strong candidates model engaging teaching practices, proficiency in planning and facilitating teacher programs, and experience developing and delivering curriculum. Experience with Texas curriculum standards is essential.
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS?
Coordinate the development of all classroom resources and lesson plans related to teacher professional development.
Supports the education team in the Teach the Alamo series, teacher in-services, Museo Institute, and other workshops.
Coordinate the posting of classroom resources online.
Assists with the planning, execution, and evaluation of the Alamo Teacher Institute.
Coordinates application process, orientation, travel logistics, and evaluation of institute programs on-site and on the road.
Leads some professional development travel for teachers.
Coordinates the Alamo Curriculum Project.
Writes curriculum to align with the galleries planned in the Alamo Visitor Center and Museum opening 2027.
Works with ATI staff and other contributors to develop lessons and resources for the curriculum.
Supervises the editing and publishing of the finished Alamo Curriculum resource.
Produce program reports, track statistics, and develop evaluative tools to measure success.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a highly organized, engaging educator with teaching experience
Experience with designing and facilitating learning programs
Exceptional customer service and communication skills
Ability to multi-task, have flexibility and be adaptable in a dynamic organization
Excellent writing, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently or as a team member and to manage complex schedules and project timelines successfully
Knowledge of Texas history and 7th grade TEKS is a must
Required proficiency in Microsoft Word/Outlook/Excel/PowerPoint/Microsoft Teams fluency
Experience with CRM tools and ticketing systems preferred
Ability to speak Spanish preferred
Bachelors degree required, graduate degree in education, history, alternative certification or equivalent preferred
Teacher certification preferred but not required.
