Qualifications
We are looking for a Senior Right of Way Agent to join our team in North Carolina!
The Senior Right of Way Agent will provide advanced support in land acquisition, relocation, property management, while also delivering innovative solutions. This position serves as a recognized expert in right of way activities including reviewing title reports, negotiating complex real estate agreements, preparing suit information, providing relocation assistance, coordinating business damages reviews, conducting property management inventories and inspections, cost estimating and scheduling.
To be successful in this role, this candidate:
- Has a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- Leads and coordinates activities related to land acquisition and management. Serves as technical expert in conducting land acquisition for transportation infrastructure projects.
- Conducts program land acquisition, condemnation coordination, relocation assistance, property management, budgeting support and parcel scheduling. Oversees right of way activities meet the desired results within the established budget and scope.
- Aids with project work plans, scopes, schedules, and budgets, and communicates these to project managers. Monitors and manages parcel production to ensure compliance with schedule, budget, and quality goals.
- Represents the organization at public hearings, meetings, and related functions.
- Drafts and provides recommendations on settlements, assists with plans to achieve desired results, reducing costs and completion time.
- Drafts scopes and amendments as needed under the direction of project managers.
- Ensures compliance with contract terms and provides technical guidance and assistance to junior staff and subcontractors to ensure they meet their contractual commitments.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws pertaining to right-of-way acquisition. Assists with obtaining necessary permits and approvals to ensure timely task completion.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
