Account Executive - Utilities

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Account Executive - Utilities in United States.

This role is a high-impact enterprise sales position focused on expanding advanced wildfire detection and intelligence solutions within the Utilities and Energy sector. You will be responsible for building and growing a strategic territory, introducing mission-critical AI and IoT technology to organizations responsible for managing infrastructure, risk, and public safety. The position requires a consultative and value-driven sales approach, translating complex environmental and operational challenges into clear ROI for enterprise and public-sector stakeholders. You will operate in a long sales cycle environment, engaging multiple decision-makers across technical, operational, and executive teams. This is a market-building role where you will help shape demand, establish credibility in a new region, and drive adoption of innovative climate resilience solutions. You will work cross-functionally with internal teams to align go-to-market strategy and ensure successful deal execution. The role is ideal for a self-directed enterprise seller who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys building from the ground up.

Accountabilities:
  • Own and grow the Utilities and Energy enterprise sales territory across the United States, developing a structured and scalable go-to-market approach.
  • Build and manage a qualified pipeline through proactive prospecting, market education, and strategic account targeting.
  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals with long sales cycles, ensuring consistent progress and disciplined deal management.
  • Translate advanced AI-powered wildfire detection capabilities into clear operational and financial value for utilities and energy customers.
  • Develop and execute a territory plan, including account strategy, outreach cadence, and regional engagement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Solutions Consulting, Marketing, and Revenue Operations to align messaging and execution.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, CRM discipline, and consistent communication with leadership on pipeline health and deal progression.
  • Establish strong relationships with senior stakeholders across operations, risk, and infrastructure leadership teams.
Requirements:
  • 7–10+ years of experience in enterprise sales, preferably in SaaS, data, or technology-driven solutions.
  • Proven success selling into utilities, energy, or critical infrastructure sectors is strongly preferred.
  • Strong ability to manage complex, multi-threaded sales cycles with long timelines and multiple decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated track record of self-generating pipeline and consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to connect mission-driven solutions to measurable ROI.
  • Highly structured, data-driven, and disciplined in sales execution and forecasting.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, early-stage or high-growth environment.
  • Resilient, persistent, and motivated by building new markets and driving adoption of emerging technology.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base compensation around $143,700 with additional equity opportunities.
  • Equity participation in a high-growth, mission-driven company.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions.
  • Flexible paid time off to support work-life balance.
  • Opportunity to work on high-impact climate resilience and public safety technology.
  • Exposure to enterprise customers and large-scale infrastructure challenges across the U.S.
  • Collaborative, fast-moving environment with strong cross-functional support.
