Assistant Teacher at Longkettle LLC – Mesquite, Texas

Position Summary
The Assistant Teacher supports the classroom instructional team in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. This role assists with classroom management, daily routines, and the implementation of developmentally appropriate activities that promote the social, emotional, and academic growth of scholars.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily classroom operations and routines
  
• Assist with the implementation of lesson plans and activities
  
• Supervise scholars to ensure safety and well-being
  
• Foster a positive, respectful, and structured classroom environment
  
• Assist with classroom transitions, meals, and rest periods
  
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and prepared classroom
  
• Support behavior guidance using positive discipline strategies
  
• Engage scholars in play, learning, and social interactions
  
• Communicate professionally with staff and families
  
• Follow all licensing, health, and safety regulations
  
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• CDA, or AA, or Bachelors degree & relevant early childhood coursework
• Previous childcare or classroom experience required
• Ability to work collaboratively with teaching teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, flexibility, and professionalism
